International Women’s day celebration
|
|
8 March 2005, Zurich
|
|
Together with the support of our
enthusiastic partner for this event Credit Suisse, W.I.N. welcomed women from different walks of life to
celebrate International Woman’s day over
cocktails. Hundred and fifty women braved the rain and snow to make it to
the conference venue at Credit Suisse office at Zurich.(on

|
|
The conference kick started with an introduction by
an enthusiastic duo of Carole and Pamela (W.I.N. Zurich team) who echo the
spirit and philosophy of W.I.N and hence made this event possible in
collaboration with W.I.N. The evening progressed with Kristin Engvig,
Founder and President of W.I.N. taking over the stage and sharing the
W.I.N. concept, origin, vision, mission and values. The highlight of the
evening was the W.I.N. 2004 movie which was premiered to the cheering
crowd.
|
|
While felicitating women across the globe for demonstration
of dynamism, Maya Salzmann from Credit Suisse gave
an impactful delivery on how it is women who not
just network with purpose and pleasure but also with performance.

Three
past W.I.N attendees Paivi (Consultant, Cisco Systems), Rajesh (Director,
Consulting Quality Management, UBS AG) and Kadri
Vunder ( Manager of Business Intelligence & Marketing Communications,
DSM Composite Resins AG) went on to share their experience
at W.I.N as testimonials. As Paivi went on to speak of how W.I.N. exceeded
her expectations of an international Women’s conference, Rajesh
mentioned how W.I.N gave her the much needed courage to persevere while
she was undergoing transition and Kadri recounted how she was inspired by
W.I.N to emulate the same model in her company and drive the need for a
Women's networking group in her company.
