Who Attends the W.I.N conference?

Typically the "W.I.N. woman" is culturally aware, has an international mindset, is well educated, keen to learn, receptive to new technology and embraces change through action to accomplish her goals. She wants it all: work, family and self. She is strong and speaks with her own voice. She wants to use her feminine values, be authentic and compassionate.

Likewise the typically the "W.I.N. man" is unafraid to be in a minority, wants to better comprehend how women are creating new norms in society, economic life, cultural milieu and organizations and wants to be part of shaping this new emerging paradigm that also benefits him.

Ambitious beyond materialism, she/he longs to be part of a global agenda and is taking action to get things done now.

Influential executives, leaders and other professionals who want to understand the impact of women on society, economic life, cultural milieu and organizations.

Representatives from world-class companies who wish to invest in their talent and position themselves with an increasingly important group of decision-makers.

Some Statistics

Corporate vs. Professional Women: 61% (2003), 65% (2004) of participants were executive women working for corporations or larger UN/public organizations (5%)) and 39% (2003) 35% (2004) of the participants are professionals such as: lawyers, psychologists, entrepreneurs, artists, consultants, coaches, professors and others.

Women & Men: women represented 93% of the 2003 participants. Since 2001, the number of men participating has increased by 2%. However in 2004 26 men joined which on percentage basis is a lower number than in 2003.

Age: W.I.N. appeals to a wide range of age groups from 20 to 70 years. The core group (64%) is between 31 and 50, with again the concentration between 35-45 (the age group is similar for 2002, 2003 and 2004 event) though both the 03 and 04 event had a small growth in the age group 51+ of total participation and a decrease in the participants below 30 (2003 attracted 13% below 30, while 2004 only about 7%).

Nationalities: average of 58 nationalities. More than 65 different nationalities have been to the various W.I.N. events. Even though majority of women attending W.I.N. are European, the event is truly international with participants from North America, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. Top six countries according to resident: Switzerland, UK, USA, France and Italy/Germany.
