Bonnie Boezeman

Bonnie Boezeman spent 23 years of her career with Time Warner Inc starting out in Europe for 11 years where she held positions of European Business Manager for Time Life in Amsterdam, French Marketing Director in Paris, and finally European Subscriptions & IT Director for Time Inc, which catered to 175 countries in the world. Bonnie was then transferred in 1983 to Sydney, Australia where she was Managing Director and Chairman of Time Life Australia for nearly 13 years.

 

Bonnie has been a non-executive board director for the past 16 years on public, private and governmental boards such as Prudential Corp., Perpetual Trustees and Defence Housing Australia. She was Deputy Chair of NSW State Lottery Corp. for 16 years. Bonnie is presently Chair of PayPal Australia, and on the boards of Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, and Manaccom.

 

Philanthropy has played an important role in Bonnie’s life and she has been on over 13 boards and committees, presently the Chair of the East West Foundation, the NSW Olympics committee, Order of Aust. Foundation, and ARS Musica.

 

Bonnie was the Executive Producer of the official song/DVD and album for Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to Sydney for World Youth Day in 2008, as well as the song for Australia’s first saint. Her present major music project is Executive Producer of the Australian World Orchestra.

 

Bonnie graduated from the Harvard Business School executive programme in 1987, and has received numerous awards for marketing and PR.

 

She was awarded an Officer in the Order of Australia in the 2003 Queen’s Honour list, (“for services to the community and the business sector as a corporate leader and executive”), The Centenary Medal by the Prime Minister of Australia as well as a Papal Knighthood from Pope Benedict XVI, in 2009 with the title: “Dame in the Order of St Gregory the Great”
