Jo Anne Freeman

The founder of SWIM upstream, JoAnne specializes in meeting facilitation and professional influence training. After university in Ottawa, Canada, JoAnne taught Sociology in Toronto. With UN, CIDA and NGO mandates JoAnne went to Haiti, Africa, India and Nepal to develop local communities. In Geneva in the 1980’s she worked for Digital Equipment in management training.

Using innovative simulations she now trains professionals to make a positive impact in their organizations Elements of Transactional Analysis and Dramatherapy are blended into her unique experiential sessions. She has pioneered women’s leadership training in Europe with her renowned course SWIM upstream for Women. She is a leading associate of Diafora Leadership Training for Women in Paris. She has been an active member on CWF and GWIT executive committees in Geneva and is a regularly featured conference speaker.
