Lynne Franks
Lynne Franks, business woman, author, broadcaster and speaker, described by the world's media as a lifestyle guru and visionary, is an acclaimed international spokesperson and advisor on the changes in today's and tomorrow's world - both for the individual as well as society at large.
She started her public relations agency from her kitchen table when she was 21 years old, representing many of the UK’s best known brands, designers and retailers. She initiated London Fashion Week; worked with Bob Geldof and Harvey Goldsmith on Fashion Aid; launched Fashion Cares, the world’s biggest fundraiser for HIV/Aids; represented Green Consumer Week in ’88; was the Chair of Viva, the UK’s first women’s radio station; created What Women Want, a celebration of women’s lives and achievements in ’95; and founded Globalfusion, a Californian-based PR Agency in ’97.
She is the author of the international best selling women’s business book, The SEED Handbook: The Feminine way to Create Business, first published in the UK and US ten years ago in 2000, and subsequently several other women’s personal development books. Lynne has also created a number of SEED women’s development, coaching and business learning programmes, delivered in partnership with, amongst others, national enterprise support agencies including Business Links, the Prince’s Trust and several women’s prisons.
SEED is an acronym for Sustainable Enterprise and Empowerment Dynamics.
She is a spokesperson and advocate on women’s changes in society; initiated the women’s leadership network at McDonald’s UK ; works with HSBC on their European business women’s leadership initiative; teaches workshops and retreats to businesswomen and is the founder of the women’s business social networking site www.seednetworkingforwomen.com.
Lynne has also recently partnered with Regus to create The B.Hive Women’s Business Clubs, offering women a stylish, feminine and fully-facilitated environment to network, meet clients and operate from. The flagship Covent Garden location launched in late September, with further locations to open around the UK over the coming months.
