The W.I.N. Forum was an amazing gathering of women from every part of the world. It made me believe in women power, in talent and love. I will appreciate each and every idea, give attention to criticism and be positive toward it.
It helped me believe that I am gifted and talented. You made me know that by supporting each other we can achieve our goals. You made me understand that women in all languages, cultures, religions, and believes have only one dream and that dream has only one language which is LOVE.

I'm happy to be part of W.I.N. The conference really inspired me to work harder for a positive leadership in Cameroon, for women empowerment, women rights, and leadership. I wish to contribute to the change in my country and my objectives will transform into results thanks to W.I.N.
When women struggle together, what was once unimaginable suddenly becomes possible.

With a couple of friends, I publish a bi-monthly news journal for the Northeastern part of India call EAST WIND. Since we bring out only 6 issues in a year, the work is not that hectic, hence, I do other things as well. Right now I am fully involved with a project called "Street kitchen project" whereby every weekend we go out to the street and distribute free nutritional meals to the street children working on the the Red lights in delhi, and hear their stories. Its very sad coming across an 8 year old child who says he has left home at the age of 4 and now at the age of 8 is sending money every month to his parents in the village by selling magazines, candies etc on the Street lights of Delhi. We have comes across so many of these children and my dream right now is to do a documentary film on their lives. The children meal is sponsored by a family trust in France.
Its 6 months now since I initiated this project and I am so glad we have successfully managed to feed about 200 children every weekend and introduced "eating with spoons" and "Tooth brush" campaigns successfully. Since most of these children lives on the street, hygiene is the last thing on their mind. As we hand them food packets every weekend, we tell them they should learn to eat with spoons because their filthy hands will bring disease to their body and now, after 6 months, it's a delight to see them, filthy as they may be, eating with spoons. On 14th Nov, which is children's day in India, we introduced the "Tooth brush campaign" and gave them all a brush and paste each. I wrote to Colgate company and they very graciously gave us 200 collages brush and 200 tooth paste free of cost. The children now have cleaner teeth and say they brush twice a day.
I am hoping to compile all these into a book. The connections I got at W.I.N. conference are priceless. Jo Patiff session about how to write a book was the best session for me. Even though I went to a journalism school, the things I learned from her in the conference made me realize I actually didn't know much about journalism or writing skills. I shall be ever grateful to WIN for this opportunity. Also the communication Skill Session with Elizabeth Werter, has helped me a lot in understanding different personalities. I now understand these children very well, when I speak to them and accordingly deal with them.
I am sure you are used to hearing what a great job you are doing, But, sincerely, it's the connections and the possibility for people like us from different parts of the world to meet and learn from the best is totally selfless and you have such a big heart to reach out to as many people is truly appreciated.
