W.I.N. History
The W.I.N. global leadership forums “ The W.I.N. Conference”
Founded in 1998 in Milan, Italy, W.I.N. (Women’s International Networking) was the idea and vision of Norwegian
social entrepreneur, Kristin Engvig. Ms. Engvig had already run the Professional
Women’s Association of Milan since 94 and understood the emerging need for women
to network globally, gain global competencies and find support and inspiration
to make their dreams come true. She attracted a number of professional women’s
networks from around Europe and a team of enthusiastic international women and
started W.I.N. Since the first annual leadership forum held in Milan, September
1998, W.I.N. has facilitated cross-border networking, disseminated cutting edge
information, built skills and enhanced women’s motivation. Based in Europe with
a global outlook W.I.N. advances the situation of women working internationally
and develops authentic leadership. Over the past 8 years it has become one of
the world’s leading international platforms and networks for professional
women’s groups both independently and through partnering with local networks
around the world.
Our forums are designed for women and men who want to
be part of shaping the newly emerging paradigm of leading results through
authentic action. As the conference themes evolve, the annual forums manifest
the emergence of a collective and truly global leadership journey being made by
modern women leaders of today.

The W.I.N. Format
W.I.N. global leadership forums “ the W.I.N. conferences”
are structured in daily themes beginning with a global perspective addressing
international work and life issues and finishing with a look from within and
forwards. A forum for senior executive women and outstanding professional and
entrepreneurial women from around the world, W.I.N. takes a look at the world as
it is and describes a vision of sustainable life-work balance with companies and
organizations ready to welcome a new voice. Each participant present is
encouraged to look within to find their own passion and to take action by
building the skills and networks for partnering and creating opportunities. Our
social and cultural events allow participants to explore their surroundings and
create an unforgettable experience. The W.I.N. events are visionary and an
experience to enjoy from the beginning to the end.
“Every time I participate in a W.I.N conference, I come back feeling I am participating to the making of a big change in the future of women”.
