Do you need a visa to enter Spain? Please verify with the local Spanish embassy in your country to find out the correct application procedure for you.
If an invitation letter is required by the embassy in order to obtain a visa, please contact the W.I.N. organization, participant@winconference.net no later than August 20th.
Travel to Barcelona
We recommend flying to Barcelona International Airport, El Prat, which is 28km from Sitges and 12 km southwest of Barcelona. Most airlines operate at El Prat, with daily flights to other Spanish and European cities as well as continental flights. Click here for a list of the airlines operating from the airport.

Travel from Barcelona Airport to Hotel Melia Sitges
By Taxi
Approximately 20 – 30 min drive at a cost of between 60-70 Euro.
By Train
There is a rail link between Barcelona Airport and Sitges (Renfe/Cercanías Renfe). Arriving at El Prat Airport you can take the airport city express train C1 direction 'BARCELONA (blue line)and change to the intercity train C2 direction 'SITGES' (green line) in the station 'Prat de Llobregat'. The journey takes in total one hour approximately and the ticket is €.1,75
By Bus
The Bus transfer service between Barcelona airport or Barcelona city centre and Sitges is called the MonBus service. Departing from Barcelona El Prat Airport, ask for the MonBus bus stop located outside of Terminal B. The MonBus stops in Ribes before arriving in Sitges.
Departing from from the city center the MonBus takes the following route: Barcelona City Centre > Bellvitge >Barcelona Airport > Ribes > Sitges.
The ticket is purchased on the bus, approx. 3 Euro.

Mon Fri, departs hourly between 07:40 and 23:40
Sat, every 2 hours between 08:40 to 22:40
Sun and holidays, every 3 hours between 09:40 - 21:40.

Hotel Accommodation
There will be preferential room rates for the delegates at selected hotels. Discount will be offered when referring to the W.I.N. Conference. The preferential rate is valid only if rooms are still available. We encourage our delegates to make their accommodation arrangements by the end of July since Sitges is quite busy. Yes, book early!
